Tick Tock...

This clock is in Prague, it sits on the Old Town Hall and attracts lots of visitors. It is an astronomical clock and has a really interesting history. Made in 1410 and added to over many years due to repairs, it was then damaged during the second world war. Among the things added were moving statues, the most known is Death that hits the bell of the clock every hour.

What i like about the clock is its intricacy and attention to detail. There are different dials that mean different things for example one pointer is for the sun, another for the moon and the last for the zodiac. It is one of the oldest clocks and i would really like to go and see it one day.

  1. It looks rather overcomplicated at first, but I can read all of the dials after looking carefully! It's in pretty good condition for its age (despite the repairs).

  2. I mainly like this clock because I've seen it, I'm not going to lie, but I have to admit that it is a bit boring, as for an hours wait the little figures are a bit of an anti-climax :(
